[Rinoa Heartilly - 002 Video] Every adventurer needs advice sometimes (Violet)
I'm sure it's been asked before, but what do you think makes a good breeder? What should they do and stuff like that?
Because I'm not sure if breeding is right for me, but I thought I should at least learn more about it before I gave up on it completely.
[Her team is flopped out on the floor behind her, her ledyba looks almost exhausted and while it's not a known fact right now there's a good chance that her poor swablu might just lose her voice temporarily. They've been training hard, but this invasion is beyond anything they could have been prepared for. It's just incentive to train more as far as they're all concerned and Rinoa's definitely going to be looking at expanding her roster soon.]
Oh! And do poison types have any big weaknesses? If something like this happens again I want to be ready for it.

I guess I'll have to look into finding a psychic or a ground type then. Thanks.
[This might be a weird thing to ask, but she's going to ask anyway.]
Has it been very bad where you are?
no subject
Are you getting overwhelmed?
no subject
My team's not really prepared for this sort of thing.

In that case, how is being a breeder that different from being a trainer?

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely have to look into getting one of those, maybe even both.

[Does his Nidoqueen count by being part-ground? Eh.] However, psychics are normally quite good with special attacks.
[Video]
It's hard to choose just one.
[That's ground and poison, so that totally counts. Might need a few extra Ground type moves from TMs though.]

[This is news to her.]
I haven't been to Goldenrod City yet, in fact I've never gone past a few days walk from Violet before.

The roles we are given on arrival seem to be guidelines, more than actual roles we should follow.
[Video]
Maybe not a ruleset, but at least a list of "Things to keep in mind if you're a breeder" or something like that?
So it doesn't actually matter if we follow or roles? [That seems kind of weird, why give people roles if they don't have to follow them?]
[Video]
And most of the information on breeding is in the guides you should've gotten when you arrived.
If not, there are libraries in Violet and Goldenrod that can be good resources on breeding... Other than that, if you want your pokémon to breed, the fastest method would be to leave them outside of their pokéballs and alone for a while...

video;
Dunno much about breeding, though. I'm not very good at it. [ She looks sheepish. ]
video;
...I'm not sure if anyone is. It sounds like being a trainer is easier. [She's obviously never had to challenge a gym leader before if she can say that.]

[ Miyuki's gonna take this opportunity to caaaaasually flash her eight Johto badges. Smirky little brat. ]

Steel-types have an immunity, but the best attacks to use are Ground and Psychic.
audio;
Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely have to look into expanding my team.
[She pauses for a second. That voice...]
Do I know you? You sound kind of familiar.
[Not the same, but certainly similar.]
audio;
[That--he's grateful for that. It works out in his favor.]
As for your Sunkern, I'd advocate keeping her there until this passes. Try to purchase some technical machines, if you can. Even with a disadvantage, type coverage in your move pool can get you far.
